As a chocolate and Coca Cola loving diabetes educator I used to wonder how on earth I could know what to do to be healthy but find it almost impossible to put it into practice.

My ‘non-healthy habits’ were a guilty little secret I carried around with me as I desperately searched for the answer.

I certainly wasn’t alone. Even a cursory glance at other health professionals revealed I wasn’t the only one struggling to take my own advice.

Discovering that creating healthy habits was a skill that could be learned, changed my life.

Because if I could learn it, not only would my own life be transformed, I could teach others. And so a mission was born.

Over the years I’ve discovered that most of what we’re taught about creating healthy habits is totally wrong. We’re bombarded with conflicting and confusing health messages that while well meaning are absolutely useless in showing us how to create the long term changes we dream of making.

I’m on a mission to change that.  

You’re not going to find ‘Biggest Loser’ type workouts here or the advice to ‘Go hard or go home’.

You WILL find support, accountability and strategies that work to create that kick ass health you dream of without the yo yo dieting and latest fads.

It’s not about being perfect. It IS about taking small steps towards a healthier new you that build and grow as if by magic.

After working with hundreds of clients I know that ‘great health and reaching your happy healthy weight’ means something different to every single one of us.

It might be being a great role model for your kids. Or simply having enough energy to keep up with them!

Or maybe it’s being able to wear that killer outfit languishing in the back of the wardrobe, knowing you look drop dead gorgeous.

For some of my clients it’s finally dropping the guilt and the shame they feel around food as they learn that getting healthier has nothing to do with deprivation and restriction and that loving who they are and how they feel is simply delicious.

It’s about enjoying the journey, not putting our lives on hold until we’re the ‘perfect weight’.

And never having to say again ‘I know what to do, I don’t understand why I’m just not doing it’.

I adore being in the online space where advances in technology mean that it doesn’t matter where you are in the world, you can access the coaching, support and tools to help you make the long term changes you dream of making. A little bit more about me

On a more personal note, I’m married to my childhood sweetheart and our household is ruled by a furry feline named Flossie who adopted us a few years ago. We’ve just moved from one end of the country to the other and are settling into Darwin and experiencing the delights of Australia’s Top End.

I’m a recovering perfectionist and in my personal life and coaching blend the practical with a willingness to embrace tools such as EFT and Kinesiology that are super effective at getting us past patterns and blocks that don’t serve us.

I’m a health and wellness coach, registered nurse and credentialled diabetes educator with a post graduate degree in Diabetes Education & Management from the University of Technology in Sydney.  I feel incredibly fortunate to have helped hundreds of clients over the past seven years get fitter, healthier and lose weight with one-on one coaching and online programs.
