Anchors - your catalyst for better health


What is an anchor?

I think of it as a reminder that helps me to live with intention & keep my goals front of mind.

In the video, I talk about how I use anchors & give you some ideas of what you can do in YOUR life.

We often set our goals then life gets in the way, somehow.

There’ve been times when I’ve found that not only am I not working towards my goals, I’ve actually forgotten what the goal even was!

Anchors help to remind you through the day of your goal and your motivation.

Let’s look at some anchors in my life.

The gorgeous jewellery from Yoshi Bella( is not only beautiful, it anchors in my intention for the year.

I’ve had my words of the year put onto beautiful medallions that then easily clip in and out of the jewellery.

Because I couldn’t restrict myself to just one, my words for the year are:


Be Bold

Be Brave

Be You

What I love about these words is to do follow those intentions, I need to be fit and healthy, so my health goals are automatically anchored in.

The beauty of the Yoshi Bella jewellery is that the medallions clip in and out so you have the option to also mix and match beautiful fashion medallions too.

Yoshi Bella also stock bracelets and rings too as well so you can really co-ordinate your different outfits.

I also have some bracelets I adore that have been engraved.

One has Shine again, and the other is engraved ‘Live the life you have imagined’.

I adore that saying and for me I imagine life where I am fit, healthy and flexible and strong. It is a reminder to me to stay fit and healthy, to make the healthy decisions and to move my body.

What are some other anchors I use regularly?

I’ve made up a video with affirmations, pictures and put some motivational music to it, something easily done in a program such as iMovie. This is a beautiful and inspirational way I’ve found to re-connect with my goals.

Many of us have smart phones these days and it’s fairly simply to set reminders and affirmations to come up regularly so that through the day you’re reminded and it’s another beautiful anchor for your goals and your plans.

Another way is little sayings that I’ll have around my workspace.

What is it you plan to do with your one wild and glorious life?


It’s a reminder to me that life is precious and often far too short and that being healthy & fit is one way that you can extend your life and be fit and healthy as well.

I also do a beautiful meditation, which is a visualization where I visualize the healthy me in the future.

I see someone who is fit, healthy and strong and their happy, healthy weight.

Once again it’s a beautiful anchor that guides my daily decisions.

    Claire this post is so helpful. I have done the “future me” meditation before but did not think to make my health a focus. I am so excited to try this. And thank you for your kind words on my jewelry. I am so glad you can use the snaps as anchors.

    Claire, what a wonderfully different angle you took here. I love the idea of having anchors and your jewelry and video ideas were unique and fun ways to do that! Thank you for sharing something that we all could benefit from!
